Documents: Destroyed ICTY evidence on Kosovo Serb organ trade
During the trial of Ramush Haradinaj in 2006, the Hague war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has destroyed all material evidence about the monstrous organ trade of Kosovo Serbs kidnapped during the 1999 war, the Belgrade daily Press has reported, publishing an ICTY official document.

In fact, on January 13, 2005, the ICTY had begun an investigation named „Don Quichote" about the objects found by its investigators in the so-called „Yellow house", in Burel, northern Albania.
This is the house which is suspected of being the scene of operations on kidnapped Serbs, during which their organs were taken off and later on sold to the black market.
The Hague document, bearing the number SFO/09/99-8045, calls on chemical analysis to be performed on objects found in the „Yellow house", notably empty bottles with drugs such as „tranxene", „chlooramphemical", „cinarizine" and „biscopean", which are used during operations, as well as evidence of surgical equipment.
The ICTY, however, destroyed all the evidence in 2006.
Haradinaj, former Kosovo Liberation Army leader and Kosovo Albanian prime minister, was released by the ICTY due to „lack of evidence" in 2008.
