Stefanovic: Platform before parl't in coming days

Parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic said he expected that the platform for Belgrade-Pristina talks, or at least some of its parts which are not state secret, would be put before the Serbian parliament in the next few days.

Stefanovic voiced belief that the platform, prepared by a team led by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, would be a result of a political agreement that would make it possible for a consensus between all relevant political factors to be reached.
"I have not seen the document and I really do not know anything about its content now, but I can say I believe those who are working on the platform," Stefanovic said in an interview for Belgrade-based daily .

Commenting on the announcement that the Belgrade-Pristina talks might continue in November, before the parliament adopts the text of the platform, Stefanovic said that, technically, the continuation of dialogue does not require Parliament's consent, since "there are agreements made by the state which could be realized immediately."

The final version of the platform will be presented to Serbian MPs, whose opinion and support will be useful for those participating in talks with Pristina authorities, Stefanovic said.

He also said there might be a change of regime in some cities and municipalities by year's end, and that the Serbian Progressive Party can offer "a better solution to citizens of Belgrade."

The bill on the origin of property, which should be submitted to the parliament soon, will define the ways of determining the origin of assets "of those who became rich abruptly, especially during privatizations."
