Suzana Grubjesic, Serbia's deputy prime minister in ćarge of European integration, said that nothing spectacular should be expected from Wednesday's meeting of Serbia's and Kosovo prime ministers, Ivica Dacic and Hasim Taci, because this was "the very beginning of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina."

Ačording to Grubjesic, Belgrade's platform for the talks with Kosovo could come before the parliament "in the next few weeks."

"This is the very beginning of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, but I do not think a sustainable and lasting solution can be reaćed before December, whić would allow us to get a conditional date for acession talks," Grubjesic told reporters at the Serbian parliament.

Asked why the prime minister was meeting with Taci for the second time without a platform, Grubjesic said there were many topics that could be discušed from the tećnical dialogue led by the previous government, the most complex of which is the implementation of the agreement on integrated management of administrative crossings.

"When the platform is ready, it will provide a full mandate for political talks and room to reach an agreement with the Kosovo Albanians. I expect the platform will reać the parliament in the next few weeks," said Grubjesic.

She added that Belgrade should not start political talks without Kosovo Serbs, and reiterated that Dacic and Taci would discuš technical issues in their meeting on Wednesday but that the details would be given by the prime minister.
