Dacic told reporters that the Dayton Treaty is a historical agreement which put an end to wars and created legal, political and constitutional conditions for the functioning of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) and the creation of Republika Srpska.
"A new Dayton Agreement is a possibility when it comes to some other problems such as Kosovo," Dacic said.

He added that the Dayton Treaty may have some downsides but he believes that nobody could have written it better after so many years than it was done at the time.
"Republika Srpska is the first Serb entity in the Serbian history across the Drina River and this is why the agreement deserves to be a historical document in the history of Serbian nation," Dacic said.

Noting that the changes in the Dayton Agreement can be made only with the consent of all nations and entities in BiH, Dacic reiterated that Serbia is a guarantee of the agreement and that it wishes to maintain good relations with BiH as a whole and also has special ties with Republika Srpska.
"We all have a joint history and a joint future," Dacic said.
