Solana to talk with Ban Ki-Moon on Kosovo
The EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana said on Wednesday he did not receive yet a letter from the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon on the reconfiguration of the UN mission in Kosovo.

He said however he would meet Ban in Paris on Thursday, on the margins of an international conference on Afghanistan.
Solana has been awaiting for Ban's letter, in which the UN Secretary-General should explain his plan for the reconfiguration of the UN mission, which would have the goal of deploying the Eulex mission in Kosovo.
Russia and Serbia are against the Eulex deployment without an adequate legal basis adopted by the UN Security Council, while the EU considers that Ban's green light is enough.
Solana discussed Kosovo with Yang Jiechi, the foreign minister of China, one of the key world opponents of Kosovo's secession.
