UNSC to hold session on Kosovo on Friday
The UN Security Council will hold Friday a session on Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's report on Kosovo.
"The session is scheduled for June 20, and UNSC members are still considering its modalities", the US mission spokesperson Caroline Vadino said.
The US chairs the UNSC this month and thus convenes its sessions.
The session will focus on Ban's report, which sets out his decision to adapt UNMIK's structure in a way that would enable the European Union to intensify its role in the rule of law sector under UN umbrella.
Ban also announced his decision to appoint a new special representative for Kosovo.
Serbian President Boris Tadic has announced he will be attending the session.
