Lamberto Zannier arrives to Pristina as eight Unmik chief
Italian diplomat Lamberto Zannier has arrived to Pristina on Friday to become the eight chief of the UN mission in Kosovo.

He will replace German diplomat Joachim Ruecker, who is leaving this week after a wave of criticism for his bias in favor of downsizing of the UN mission and upgrading oft the EU presence.
Zannier is a fomer director of the OSCE Centre for Conflict Prevention in Vienna.
Apart from the UN's first special representative to Kosovo Sergio De Mella, a Brazilian who stayed there for a month, all other Unmik chiefs were from EU countries.
