Serbia is the country with the largest number of refugees in Europe

Serbia is the European country with the largest number of refugees, according to the American Committee for Refugees published on the occasion of World Refugee day.

There are some 100,000 registered refugees from Croatia and Bosnia in Serbia, in addition to the 206,000 displaced Serbs from Kosovo, who were expelled from their homes by ethnic Albanian extremists since 1999.
