Kosovo applies for membership in the World Bank and the IMF
Kosovo has applied on Thursday for membership in the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, Pristina’s Prime Minister Hashim Thaqi at the Donors Conference in Brussels on Friday.

"We have applied yesterday for membership in the World Bank and the IMF ... we are expecting very quickly a positive response", Thaqi said, adding that his goal is Kosovo's membership into "NATO, the EU and other international organizations".
