Pristina applied for Kosovo's membership to the IMF and the World Bank on Thursday.

Jelasic's cabinet said this is in keeping with international law and principles on which the IMF is based on.

On the occasion of the request for accession in the IMF by Kosovo's provisional government, Jelasic will address a letter to the IMF director general and representatives of Switzerland, as the country through which Serbia practices its vote in the IMF.
