Serbia's foreign ministry said Jeremic will "represent Serbia's interests on Kosovo which concern the reconfiguration of the international civilian presence in Serbia's southern province, and which is disputable for Serbia without an appropriate decision of the top UN body".

The debate will be dedicated to the quarterly report on UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, in which he practically gave the green light to his envoy Zannier to start with the process of reconfiguration of UNMIK.
