UN Security Council to review Ban’s report on Unmik
The UN Security Council is reviewing on Friday Ban Ki-Moon’s latest report on Kosovo in which he has given a green light for the reconfiguration of the Unmik mission, provoking strong criticism from Moscow and Belgrade.

Unmik chief Lamberto Zannier will present the regular report, and his Kosovo delegation will also include Pristina's "foreign minister" Skender Hiseni, who cannot speak autonomously at the session since the UN does not recognize Kosovo's secession.
Serbia's Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, who harshly criticized Ban during their meeting last Friday in New York, will also attend the session.
He will reiterate the rejection by the Serbian government of the illegal unilateral declaration of Kosovo's independence and of plans for reconfiguration of international civilian presence without UN SC approval.
Jeremic will request that international civilian presence be reconfigured only in conformity with the UN SC Resolution 1244 and with approval by Serbia and UN SC.
He will also state that Serbia does not oppose the start of negotiations on reconfiguring the civilian mission in Kosovo, provided that it will not encroach on Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and that it will not result in implementation of Martti Ahtisaari's plan.
