Belgrade satisfied with UN investigation result on Mitrovica incidents
Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic has said that he is satisfied that the results of an internal UN investigation into developments in northern Kosovska Mitrovica on March 17 have shown that excessive force was used against Serb protesters.

"The result of the investigation is that the then (UN) deputy special representative Larry Rosin was replaced. He was actually removed from his position at the moment when the investigation ended and which says that excessive force was really used under his command," Jeremic said.
The Serbian foreign minister said that the investigation had occured at the persistent insistence of the government in Belgrade.
"Serbia has shown this time that it is principled, that it insists on its rights as a UN member and we will do this in future," Jeremic said.
