Zannier: UNMIK to remain in Kosovo, especially in Serb areas
UNMIK Chief Lamberto Zannier said on Wednesday that the UN Mission will continue its presence in Kosovo, particularly in the regions inhabited by the Serb or mixed population.

UNMIK will decrease the number of its personnel, while EULEX will expand itself on the terrain, Zannier told a news conference in Pristina.
"We (UNMIK) will remain in Pec, Gracanica, Strpce and certainly in Mitrovica", he explained.
The Italian diplomat said that he had never proposed that Serb police forces be set up in scope of the Kosovo Police Service (KPS) which would not be part of the KPS command chain, as certain media in Pristina announced about a month ago.
