Ban and Rucker will warn ambassadors that further delays in ongoing diplomatic quest for solution of Kosovo's final status may cause a turmoil in province, mostly due to the "dissatisfaction of the Kosovo  Albanian majority".

Security Council will review the Kosovo situation behind closed doors.

"Given the substantial gap between the parties ... consideration should be given to how to deal with the situation if the sides are unable to reach agreement," Ban said in the report.

"A further prolongation of the future-status process puts at risk the achievements of the United Nations in Kosovo since June of 1999," UN chief  said.
