"I have had talks with the UN secretary general, and we have decided to speed up the process, that is the dialogue Serbia is having with the UN on six items which refer to international presence reconfiguration", Jeremic told a news conference in New York.
"I am optimistic and I think that the process will soon give positive results", he noted.
Jeremic met with Ban after the session of the UN General Assembly, when a draft resolution was adopted by which Serbia seeks an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on the legality of Kosovo's unilateral independence declaration.
Serbia is waiting for the next three-month report of the UN secretary general and hopes that the report will include an agreement between Serbia and the UN on the six items that deal with reconfiguration, the minister added.
