Solana: Deployment of EULEX in December
EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said in Brussels on Monday that he expects the deployment of the EULEX mission to take place in December

Together with NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Solana also voiced support to the Belgrade-UN negotiations on the reconfiguration of UNMIK.
"We support talks between Belgrade and Unmik ... We hope they will be finished soon, but we cannot link everything to this process because there are certain elements of our cooperation which should move in a parallel way", Solana said.
Scheffer pointed out that the NATO is as much interested in the outcome of these negotiations as the EU.
In Pristina, Unmik spokesman Alexander Ivanko confirmed that Unmik chief Lamberto Zannier and UN negotiator Andrew Ladley are scheduled to hold talks with Serbian officials on Tuesday in Belgrade.
