UNSC session on Eulex most likely to be postponed

The Friday session of the UN Security Council on the reconfiguration of the Unmik mission and Eulex deployment is most likely to be postponed because Serbia’s demands have been meet, Serbia’s minister for Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic said

He recalled that Serbia had asked that Eulex does not implement the Martti Ahtisaari plan, that it must be status neutral and that it must have an explicit mandate from the UN Security Council.

Jeremic said there was still no agreement either on the six-points talks between Belgrade and Unmik on the reconfiguration of the UN mission.

"Since there is agreement nor approval from Serbia, there is a great likelihood that the UN Security Council session will be postponed", he underlined.
