EU ministers: Eulex will start functioning in “early December”
The EU foreign ministers will announce on Monday the beginning of work of the Eulex mission in early December

In their conclusions from the Monday Council meeting, the ministers will "welcome the preparations with the view of the Eulex mission, including the current deployment of member staff, so as to be able to reach initial operational capability by early December".
At the beginning of its work, the mission will count between 1300 and 1500 members - policemen, judges, prosecutors and custom officials.
« This figure will be enough for the beginning of the work of the mission, while its full operational capacity will be reached later » when the mission is completed with some 1800 staff.
