Pristina rejects UN plan, issues four-point declaration

Following a meeting with the US State Undersecretary Daniel Fried, Pristina officials definitely rejected the UN six-point plan and proposed a four-point declaration on Eulex deployment:
- We, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, support the quick deployment of EULEX in Kosovo in accordance with the mandate of the Declaration of Independence, document of Ahtisaari, Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the Joint Action Plan of February 2008 and the invitation of EULEX by the institutions of Kosovo.
- Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo reject entirely the Six-Point Plan.
- Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo will closely cooperate with EULEX in the entire territory of Kosovo in accordance with the aforementioned documents, by respecting the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Kosovo.
- Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo will cooperate as always with the United States of America, the European Union and NATO.
Fried said the four-points were a "good basis" for future discussions.
