"Serbia's constructive approach to EULEX is positive. As a European Union member, Bulgaria believes that EULEX should be deployed and be status neutral", he told the press after meeting Serbian President Boris Tadic.

Tadic said that Belgrade had done all in its power to reach an agreement with the United Nations on the reconfiguration of the international civil mission in Kosovo and that it expected the agreed solutions from the six-item plan to be implemented.

"This agreement is not directed against any of the sides; rather than that, it preserves the integrity and rights of all who participate in this frozen conflict. Serbia wants to find a solution that will be sustainable in the next period and that will protect the interests of all interested parties," he said.

Meanwhile, in Brussels, NATO said there would be no "security gaps" during the deployment of Eulex.

"Some are fearing security gaps, but NATO and EU will ensure there won't be any", the Chairman of NATO's Military Committee, Admiral Giampaolo Di Paola said.
