Eulex gathers 1,300 staff, formal start to be decided by end of week
The Eulex mission is set to gather 1,300 staff and thus proclaim its “initial operational capability”, or technical readiness to start its work in Kosovo

A formal decision on the start of Eulex activities in Kosovo will be taken by the end of this week.
As of Tuesday, Eulex is set to comprise 1,300 police and customs officers, judges and prosecutors.
The personnel will be completed when special police units comprising 120 members each from Poland, Romania, Italy and France join in.
