Limdal said that EULEX police officers and border police and their local colleagues would be deployed in four police stations in northern Kosovo, and that the mission's judges and prosecutors would be assigned to the court in the northern part of Kosovoska Mitrovica.
The Eulex spokeswoman did not speculate on the exact number of police officers and judges that would arrive in northern Kosovo on December 9, but just pointed out that 25 policemen and a couple of judges and prosecutors would be deployed in the region at the beginning.
"This is our initial operational capacity, and I think that the most important thing is that we will be deployed on December 9", Limdal said.
"How many people will be there is of minor importance, since after December 9, we will continue to build our mission every day, and we hope that it will be fully deployed by the end of winter", she added.
The Eulex spokesperson said that a total of 1.300 members of the mission would be deployed throughout Kosovo in a week's time, and expressed belief that the whole process would be completed by the end of winter, when Eulex should comprise 1.900 persons.
