Eulex police units to be based in two strategic locations

The command of the police will consist of 25 members, while the units will be based in two strategic locations.
The French and the Romanians will be based near Kosovska Mitrovica, while the Italian Carabinieri and the Poles will be based in Pristina.
They will be helped by specialised forces: the close protection unit (CPU) for VIPs, the intervention unit, the witness security unit (WSU), the mine-clearing and improvised explosive device disposal service, and a canine unit responsible for detecting inappropriate substances (explosives, drugs).
