ICJ to publicize written statements on Kosovo in July 2009
International Court of Justice President Rosalyn Higgins on Wednesday stated that the Court will make public the written statements on the issue of unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo in July 2009

The court has earlier allowed UN member-states and all interested parties to state their opinion and arguments on unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo in written form by April 17, 2009. Interested parties will also have time until July 17 to respond to the claims and arguments of other parties participating in the proceedings.
"The case has not been fully examined and more time is needed to clarify details", said Higgins in a video conference between Moscow and The Hague.
She also said that the second round of sessions, with participation of all parties concerned, is scheduled for the beginning of next autumn.
