The army reservists reservists blocked a key regional road for several hours demanding back pay for their service in the 1998-99 war in Kosovo.

Serbian police said that six officers were hurt in the clashes and that four protesters were detained. Protest leader Dejan Milosevic reported ten protesters hurt.

Milosevic said the reservists were angered by the formation of Kosovo's armed forces and the naming of a former rebel fighter as the commander on Saturday.
