Jeremic said the resolution was "unacceptable" and "contrary to international law".
"The European Parliament is not the institution which is dealing with the EU foreign policy. The Council of the EU is, and within the Council there are countries which have recognized Kosovo and those which did not. Thus, the opinion within the EU is divided", he said.
Jeremic added that the debate and vote in the EP showed how the questions of the future status of Kosovo was a question on which there was not agrement within the EU.
« Our accession to the EU and the fight for Kosovo are two separate processes - this is the official policy of both Belgrade and Brussels. I believe that it is in the best interest of the European future of the entire Western Balkans to keep it that way", Serbia's Foreign Minister said.
