Bogdanovic: Only status can be discussed with Pristina
Serbia can hold talks with Pristina only about the issue of status, since the status of Kosovo is not and cannot be final, Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic has said.

"We do not wish to negotiate with representatives of the institutions that unanimously proclaimed independence. We can talk with Pristina only about status. Anyway, during the negotiations with the UN on the six-point plan, there were no conditions that Kosovo institutions should take part in them as well. Nevertheless, we are not unwilling to talk with ethnic Albanians, but only within the frameworks of (UN Security Council) Resolution 1244 and from the position of status neutrality," Bogdanovic said in an interview to the Belgrade daily Vecernje novosti.
"The current status of Kosovo is not and cannot be final. Primarily, because the Security Council has not accepted the unilaterally proclaimed independence, just as almost two-thirds of the countries of the world have not done that either. The issue of status is therefore open, and we expect that these talks, if not sooner, will have to be opened following the decision of the International Court of Justice on this illegally proclaimed independence," he said.
Serbia insisted on the holding of the UN Security Council session, scheduled for March, because it believes "the Kosovo Security Force that was formed, unfortunately also with the support of the international community, primarily KFOR and NATO, cannot contribute to the stability of the situation in the field," Bogdanovic said.
