Three Serbs assaulted in Lipljan, another shot in Gnjilane

Kosovo Serb Vasko Arsic sustained a gunfire wound in the village of Donja Budriga, near Gnjilane, on Tuesday, while three other Serbs were assaulted in central Kosovo.

Arsic, 24, was wounded at around 1700 hours on Tuesday when he was standing with a friend outside his yard gate.

Meanwhile, Jovica Miric and brothers Ivan and Igor Trajkovic were assaulted in Lipljan just before midnight on Tuesday.

The three young Serbs were ambushed by a group of ethnic Albanians outside Miric's house. The perpetrators launched the attack with bats and poles. The victims have been taken to the hospital in Gracanica and the case has been reported to the police.

In the course of the previous night, a store selling church souvenirs located in the yard of the Lipljan Church was broken into, the municipality sources said.

In yet another incident, an ethnic Albanian was arrested in the Serb-populated town of Strpce, in southern Kosovo. He was found in possession of a bomb while he sitting in a café.
