Pristina: Serbian officials might be banned from travelling to Kosovo

The Kosovo government decision to ban Serb high-ranking representatives, who fail to respect the new local constitutional order, from entering Kosovo remains in force, Pristina media report Premier Hasim Thaci as saying.

Commenting on a decision to ban Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic's entry into the territory, Thaci told Albanian language daily Express on Sunday that "this is only the beginning" of the implementation of the government decision.

"Laws will be respected in Kosovo. Serbia should forget about Kosovo," Thaci said.

At the same time, high-ranking representatives of the Kosovo police told Pristina media that they will implement every decision of the Kosovo government on entry prohibition for Serbia's high-ranking officials.

Kosovo Police Service (KPS) General Director Sermet Ahmeti said in a statement published by Koha Ditore that "the same measure, stopping or arresting", can apply to Serbian President Boris Tadic, if he tries to enter Kosovo.
