Solana appoints Belgrade envoy in charge of Eulex
Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), has decided to appoint Danish diplomat Peter Sorensen as his Personal Representative in Belgrade.

"In his role as the Personal Representative, Sorensen will be coordinate an office composed of a political component as well as a liaison function of the EU Rule of Law mission in Kosovo (EULEX)", Solana's office said.avier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), has decided to appoint Danish diplomat Peter Sorensen as his Personal Representative in Belgrade.
His tasks will include keeping close contact with the appropriate counterparts in the Serbian Government, facilitate co-operation and exchange of information, monitor and report on political developments in Serbia and offering policy advise to the EU High Representative.
Following his official appointment, Sorensen met with Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, with whom he discussed the format and dynamics of the future talks on implementation of the six-point U.N. plan for Kosovo.
