Kosachev: Optimal situation for Kosovo is delayed status

There is still no rule of law in Kosovo-Metohija and its situation opposes the established norms and principles of the international law, the Head of the Russian Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachev evaluated on Wednesday.

He underscored that the situation will remain as such for as long as the status of the Southern Serbian province is determined by unilateral activities of Kosovo and those countries which support the province's authorities adding that he believes that the most perspective and optimal option for the future of Kosovo is the so-called delayed status.

Whatever turns out to be the final outcome, it will enable all the conflicting parties to respect the requirements of the international law, Kosachev said for today's issue of the official daily of the Russian government Rossijskaja Gazeta.
