Spain should have consulted its NATO allies before deciding to withdraw its soldiers from Kosovo, the Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini stated on Sunday.

"Unfortunately, they have already made a decision and we are sorry about that", Frattini said in an interview for the Spanish daily ABC, adding that it is not yet the moment to pull out from Kosovo.
He underscored that KFOR will stay in Kosovo for as long as it is necessary, in order to overcome the tensions that still exist there.
