Serbia could run trial of Kosovo cabinet minister
The Serbian judiciary is capable of running the trial of former commander of Kosovo Liberation Army Fatmir Limaj, suspected of war crimes, says Bruno Vekaric, spokesman for Serbia's War Crime Prosecution.

He reminded that the continuation of the process against Limaj in Serbia was granted by the ICTY in the Hague, but it is still early to speak about the potential indictment.
The presiding chamber has concluded that the material possessed by the Serbian judiciary is not in relation to the case that had been processed in the Tribunal, underlined Vekaric.
In May 1998, KLA kidnapped 10 workers of the Belacevac mine, and the Serbian prosecution has also found the evidence of kidnappings and murders of at least another 30 Serb civilians in the region of Drenica, as well as several police officers and at least 11 Albanian civilians. The evidence we have indicate that Limaj is responsible for those crimes, stated Vekaric.
So far it has been revealed that along with Limaj, other responsible persons are Sahit Jashari, Sami Lushtaku and Suleyman Sellimi, who is now heading the NATO-trained Kosovo Security Forces.
