New US ambassador to NATO is former Clinton advisor on Kosovo/Balkans
The new US ambassador to NATO Ivo H. Daalder is a former advisor to President Bill Clinton on Balkans policy.

Daalder, who took office this week, was Director for European Affairs on President Clinton's National Security Council staff from 1995 to 1997, where he was responsible for coordinating U.S. policy toward Bosnia.
He was also the author of „Winning Ugly: NATO's War to Save Kosovo (2000)".
