Ceku released from custody
The District Court of the Bulgarian town of Chustendil on Thursday decided that former Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku, who was detained on the grounds of an Interpol warrant on the Bulgarian-Macedonian border on Tuesday evening, should be realesed from detention.

The former Kosovo premier was, however, asked to remain in Bulgaria until July 2, in case the prosecution appealed his release, judge Sonya Kocheva was cited by national radio as saying.
Ceku has been charged by the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor in Belgrade of war crimes committed against Serbs and other non-Albanian civilians in Kosovo - the murders of 669 Serbs and 18 other non-Albanians, on the grounds of command responsibility.
Serbia's claim to have him extradited was meanwhile backed Thursday by Amnesty International that "called upon the Bulgarian authorities to extradite promptly Agim Ceku to Serbia... to face trial on war crimes charges."
This is the fourth time that Ceku has been detained on the grounds of the warrant issued by the Serbian Interpol. Prior to Bulgaria, Ceku was detained also in Slovenia, Hungary and Colombia, but he has not been extradited to the Serbian authorities so far.
