"Nobody should predetermine the court opinion or interfere in its work", Tadic warned in his speech at the Non-Alligned Movement (NAM) summit in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
In this context the Serbian president pointed out that pressure should not be exerted on multilateral bodies to include secessionist authorities from Pristina in their ranks.
Underlining that the Declaration of the 15th Summit of the Non-Aligned, which insists on full respect for international law and emphasizes the important role of the ICJ in the process, Tadic stressed that the document corresponds with the decision of Serbia to respond to the unilateral declaration of Kosovo independence with peaceful and diplomatic means.
Serbian president reminded that the UN General Assembly requested the advisory opinion of the ICJ on the legality of self-proclaimed Kosovo independence thanks to the support of numerous member stated of the Non-Aligned Movement.
"I am very grateful because the vast majority of member states of the Non-Aligned Movement have not recognized the ethnically motivated attempt of the Kosovo authorities to secede a part of my country", said Tadic.
According to him, the respect for integrity of Serbia and other members of the UN strengthens the values that connect all the countries of the world.
"This confirms the fundamental principles of the international system defined by the UN Charter, which are reaffirmed in the principles of the Non-Aligned Movement", Tadic said.
