Jeremic: Belgrade in favor of Kosovo compromise, not partition
Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic denied reports by some media that he had evaluated a partition of Kosovo as a possible solution for Serbia's southern province.

"This question should be addressed to those parts of the public and media that had started talking about this without me saying anything like that," said Jeremic.
"In this particular case, it is obvious that attempts have been made to put some words into my mouth that I have never spoken," underscored Jeremic, reiterating that Serbia urges for a compromising solution for Kosovo's future status, a solution that has to be in keeping with the Serbian Constitution and confirmed by the will of citizens.
Recalling that Serbia is now using diplomatic means to renew the status dialogue, Jeremic underscored that "this kind of a public debate is confusing, it does not help at all and takes us further away from our attempt to return to the negotiation table and find a solution that is in the country's national interest."
