Armed ethnic Albanians fought Serbian security forces during a few months of the revolt, which was tamed in cooperation with international envoys.
Stanisa Mihajlovic, investigating judge of the district court in Vranje, told reporters police found rocket launchers, mortars, anti-tank mines, bombs and100,000 rounds of ammunition hidden in the large fuel tank.
Mihajlovic said he is treating it as part of terrorist activities as the weapons and ammunition were well-preserved. Several attacks against Serbian police forces and a Serbian housing complex have occurred in the last two months, leaving three policemen and two civilians injured.
Local ethnic Albanians demand full demilitarization of the region, notorious for its trafficking and organized crime record, which Belgrade and the international observers refuse.
