Cirkovic also mentioned "operative information" on the planning of incidents in the areas around Bujanovac and Presevo in southern Serbia and near the border with Macedonia, which are all mostly populated by ethnic Albanians.

"KFOR members have recently, after receiving information from us, seized a quantity of uniforms of the former Yugoslav army in the Kosovska Kamenica area," General Cirkovic said. "The Serbian Army will not tolerate the causing of conflicts in this area," he added.

Cirkovic went on to say that the Serbian Army had warned KFOR of the danger of paramilitary groups, such as the Albanian National Army, whose members have recently appeared near Podujevo.

The Albanian National Army, declared a terrorist group by UNMIK in 2003 after an attack on Serb civilians, has recently threatened to take control of northern Kosovo, populated by Serbs. The group's members said they were forced to organize due to alleged Serb paramilitary units, whose existence, however, has not been confirmed by independent sources.
