US: Religious tensions in Kosovo remain high

Tensions between communities still remain high, in Kosovo especially following the country's declaration of independence, reads the US State Department Religious Freedom Report.

There are reports on attacks against the Serb community including threats, thefts and vandalism.

There are also reports on attacks against priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the documents underlines, while saying that the close link between ethnicity and religion made it difficult to determine if events are motivated by ethnic or religious animosity.
