OSCE Sec-Gen: Unsettled Kosovo status is a problem for the region and the EU
The unsolved Kosovo status is a problem for the region and the European Union, OSCE Secretary General Mark Peren de Brishambo said during his visit to Belgrade.

"There are still huge divisions within society and huge differences regarding the legal and constitutional status of the province. This unsolved problem has its negative effects not only on the region but on the whole Europe as well. It shall have to be solved, we hope peacefully and I think we were successful in that in recent years," De Brishambo said in an interview to the Belgrade daily Blic.
"We talked about a complex situation regarding Kosovo and the importance that it is viewed in a systematic and organized way and faced with with respect of the international law and principles of peaceful international settlement of problems", he added.
He said the position of the OSCE is "neutral in view of the status" and that it will remain such in the future.
