This is according to the Pristina-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore.
The paper says that this formation will also protect the Serbian Orthodox monasteries and other cultural and historic monuments.
Referring to its sources in NATO, the daily says that the Gazimestan monument is among the first which will be under the KBS protection.
Gazimestan is the monument honoring the Serb soldiers killed in the Battle of Kosovo in 1389.
KFOR reduced the number of its soldiers to 10,000 at the end of January. In the past ten years, KFOR soldiers have been protecting the most significant monuments of the Serbian medieval culture, including monasteries.
