"At the moment when we are heading towards European integration, it is absolutely unproductive to discuss any kind of border alterations and exchange of territories," he said.
He told Tanjug news agency that he "does not understand why this issue has been reopened", and evaluated that media, "which represent the interests of certain people", are responsible for that.
Media reported earlier this week Kosovo Albanian assembly President Jakup Krasnici as saying that "if Serbs in North Kosovo think they can separate, they should know that the Albanians from Presevo and Bujanovac are ready to join Kosovo".
Halimi reminded of the platform which was brought 2006 by political factors of the Albanians from the south of Serbia, based on the principles of the Contact Group from the fall 2005, which say that solving of the Kosovo status does not imply the exchange of territories or changing of borders.
