The grave desecration is an unacceptable and inhuman act and such actions undermine the efforts of local and international institutions to ensure the return and the functioning of a multiethnic Kosovo, reads the statement of Acting Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo Mark Lamanen.

He added that the OSCE expects of law enforcement bodies to bring the perpetrators to justice, and that he sympathizes with the family Jovanovic in their difficult times. Last Friday, a day after the funeral, the grave of Zivka Jovanovic was desecrated. It was the first burial of a Serb in this Orthodox cemetery since 1999.
