Tanjug news agency reported that the district court in Dubrovnik took Morina into custody and that the process of his extradition to Serbia has begun.
As a member of an armed paramilitary formation in Kosovo, Morina is suspected of committing crimes against Serb civilians in the municipality of Orahovac in the period from July 17-21, 1998, the agency reports.
He was first arrested in Montenegro in December 2006 and taken to the Serbian War Crimes Court, which later acquitted him on the charges.
In 2009 the Serbian Supreme Court reversed the verdict of the War Crimes Court and put the case back on trial, issuing an international warrant for his arrest on December 30, 2009. In the meantime, Morina left Serbia.
