Asked why it is insisted on the opening of a court in northern Mitrovica and battle against crime in northern Kosovo, when there are major problems in the part controlled by Pristina as well, he told BETA news agency that EULEX is implementing the same activities in the whole of Kosovo.

Commenting on the strategy for the integration of northern Kosovo, supported by International Civilian Representative Peter Feith and the Pristina authorities, he said that is not a plan of the EU.

„EULEX has been in northern Kosovo for more than a year and we are progressing gradually - step by step," he said, adding they are not there to impose anything by force, but to secure the rule of the law for everyone.
