Kosovo Serb attacked near Gnjilane

A Kosovo Serb man, identified as Bojan Pesic, sustained head injuries when he was attacked yesterday.

The incident took place in the Paralovo village in the Gjilane municipality, in the eastern parts of Kosovo.

Pesic was admitted to hospital in the Serb enclave of Gracanica.

Pesic told news agency Tanjug he was dragged out of his car by two men who drove in front of him and stopped him, and that he was beaten, but managed to escape.

He believes that his attackers were ethnic Albanians and said there was no motive for the attack.

Doctors of the Gracanica hospital have stated that Pesic was admitted with head injuries and that he needs to stay for treatment. They informed the Kosovo police, KPS, of the incident.
