The ambassador spoke during the yearly Assembly of the Association of Serbian-Indonesian Friendship Nusantara in Belgrade on Wednesday.

Dalimunthe pointed out that, in the period of 2007-2008 while Indonesia was a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council (SC), the Indonesian authorities advocated that the issue of Kosovo should be resolved in a peaceful way and through negotiations which would be accepted by both sides.

So far, Indonesia's position has not been changed and official Jakarta continues to monitor the development of the situation in Kosovo, Dalimunthe, who is nearing the end of his mandate in Serbia, told the gathering.

Indonesia is, among other things, the country with the largest Muslim population, a member of the Non-Aligned Movement and the influential Group 20 (G-20) of the most developed countries in the world and emerging economies.
