Greece: Kosovo solution must be in line with European principles and values

"Even now, the goal must be the greatest possible harmonization (of positions), and the international community must also accept that to the biggest extent possible. A common European stand on European issues, such as Kosovo, is necessary," Bakoyannis said.
After the meeting, Greek Foreign Ministry spokesman Yorgos Koumoutsakos said that "Greece has a permanent and special interest" in the issues regarding the resolution of Kosovo's future status.
Koumoutsakos underscored that those issues dominated all international meetings of the Greek foreign minister and her counterparts.
The Greek official also said that Botsan-Kharchenko had informed Bakoyannis of the current situation and the outlook for the success of the efforts made by the mediating troika.
Koumoutsakos added that Athens was in touch with all sides involved in the resolution of the Kosovo issue.
Kosovo is expected to be the crucial topic which Bakoyannis will discuss with her French counterpart Bernard Kouchner on Wednesday.
